The system now supports a Salary-Like calculation logic for custom benefits. This feature allows specific allowances to behave exactly like base salary, including automatic proration based on the employee's effective date and scheduled working days.
Step 1: Create the Custom Benefit
Go to Profile Toggles and select Settings.
Navigate to the Payroll tab and click on Create Custom Benefits.
Enter the Custom Income Type Name.
In the Advanced Settings, locate the payroll item link and select Salary-Like from the logic options.
Click Create to save the new benefit type.
Step 2: Assign the Allowance to an Employee
Go to the Employee tab and click on the specific Employee Name.
Select the Payroll Setting tab.
Click the Edit Icon (pencil) and insert the Allowance Amount.
Select the Effective Date for when this allowance should begin.
Click Confirm and then Update.
Step 3: Automated Calculation
Once configured, the system will automatically calculate the amount in the Allowance column during the payroll run.
If an employee starts or changes mid-month, the system will automatically prorate the amount based on your company's principle or scheduled working days.
Note: The "Salary-Like" logic is ideal for fixed monthly allowances that must be adjusted if an employee does not work a full pay period.
β Success: Your custom allowance is now linked to the salary proration logic, ensuring accurate payments for mid-month joiners or policy changes.
