February Overview
This month, we focused on enhancing global payroll compliance (specifically for Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Cambodia), refining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and resolving critical bugs in leave management and reporting.
🚀 New Features & Major Improvements
Payroll & Compliance
Pakistan Payroll: Fully implemented the Pakistan payroll module, including localized tax law configurations.
Cambodia Salary Statement: Introduced a comprehensive Excel export for salary statements, including full payroll, tax, and bank data.
Sri Lanka EPF/ETF Enhancements: Added "Initials and Surname" and "Occupational Classification Grade" fields to Employee Profiles to meet bank format requirements.
Vietnam Tax Update: Updated tax-related policies to reflect the latest 2026 tax brackets.
Negative Values UI: The system now correctly displays negative amounts (minus figures) in payroll groups rather than defaulting to 0, allowing for clearer tracking.
Attendance & Leave
Advanced Leave Settings: Introduced conditional "Days in Advance" requirements. Admins can now set different advance notice rules based on the duration of leave (e.g., different rules for a half-day vs. 3+ days).
Summarized Reporting: Added a "Clean View" export to the Day-by-Day report, showing attendance status instead of raw timestamps for better readability.
Manual Attendance Export: The Summarize Report now includes a specific record of manually added or edited attendance data.
Performance & Learning
Flexible Ratings: Performance Appraisals now support 3-star and 4-star rating systems in addition to the standard 5-star scale.
ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
Free Job Posting: All job posts on Better Jobs will now cost 0 credits for the entirety of 2026.
Time Zone Sync: Interview scheduling now defaults to the company’s set time zone.
🛠️ Key Bug Fixes
Payroll & Finance
OT & Net Salary: Resolved issues where overtime and manually added allowances/deductions were calculated incorrectly or omitted.
Expense Attachments: Fixed an issue where uploaded expense attachments (including the newly supported Excel and PDF formats) were not clickable after submission.
Currency Display: Fixed an issue where MMK currency appeared as "Unknown" for Myanmar users.
Employee Management
Job Activity Updates: Fixed a critical bug where Promotions, Transfers, and Adjustments were not updating on the employee profile after approval.
Resignation Workflows: Resolved an issue where approved resignations remained "Pending" and failed to update the termination date.
Manager Dropdowns: Fixed a loading error in the manager selection dropdown within job activity forms.
System & Security
Audit Logs: Resolved errors preventing the download and viewing of the January 2026 Monthly Audit Change Logs.
Permission Checks: Added missing security checks for monthly backup data exports and attendance setting queries.
AI Agent: Fixed inaccurate data reporting in the AI Background Agent for attendance and duty rosters.
