Some companies don't want to pay all leave days to their employee before one year. Firstly, they want to pay a few leave day in the probation period (or 5/6 months) and the remaining days will be entitled after probation period (or 5/6 months). At that time, dashboard users can make this process available in Better HR. The following tutorial video will help you.

1). Go to 'Setting' and click 'Policies'.
2). Choose the policy type. And click 'Leave'.
3). Click the leave type you want change. When you are in leave setting view, choose 'Scheduled' under Timing.
4). Fill the duration you want to entitle.
5). Initial is the leave available in the probation (or 5/6 months) and rest balance is the remaining days available after probation (or 5/6 months).

(Example cases:(1). If you want to pay 10 days annual leave after 6 months, you have to fill '0' in Initial box and '10' in Rest Balance box. (2). If you want to pay 5 days annual leave in first six months and other 5 days in next six months, you must fill '5' in Initial box and next '5' in Rest Balance box. (3). If you want to pay '3' days in probation period  and others 7 days in next period, you have to fill '3' in Initial Box and '7' in Rest Balance box.)

6). Click 'Confirm' and 'Update Policy'.
7). Click 'Confirm'.
