How to Use the Employee Learning Library in Better HR
The Employee Learning Library in Better HR helps you organize and share essential documents like employee handbooks, training materials, and company policies. Here’s a step-by-step guide to upload files, manage access, and track engagement:
🗂 Step 1: Create a New Folder
Go to the Employee Learning Library tab.
Click "Create New Folder" on the top right.
Enter a folder name and click "Create Folder".
Once created, the folder will appear in your list.
🔒 Step 2: Set Access Permissions
Click on the folder you just created.
You’ll land on the Files tab by default.
Click the Access tab next to it.
Set access by choosing:
Department(s)
Location(s)
Position(s)
Custom Tag(s)
Only employees who match these selections will see the folder's contents on their mobile app.
📤 Step 3: Upload Files
Go back to the Files tab inside the folder.
Click "Upload New File" (top right corner).
In the popup box, click “Choose Files” and select your document(s).
Once the file appears in the drop box, click “Confirm” to upload.
📊 Step 4: Track Engagement
After uploading, each file will show:
Opened
Read
Acknowledged
For example: 3/22 read
, 2/22 acknowledged
.
Click the Employee Activities section under the file to see individual employee progress. You’ll find profile icons with color indicators that show which step each employee has completed (Opened → Read → Acknowledged).
🗑️ Step 5: Delete Files or Folders
To delete a file:
Tick the checkbox in front of the file. A delete icon will appear beside the search bar. Click it to delete the selected file.
To delete a folder:
Click the three-dot icon under the “Upload New File” button.
A confirmation box will appear asking “Are you sure?”.
Type the exact folder name and confirm deletion.
Mobile Access for Employees
All files and folders that employees have access to will appear in their Better HR mobile app, under the Learning Library section. They can open, read, and acknowledge files on the go.
Using the Learning Library keeps your documentation organized, accessible, and ensures your team stays informed—whether it’s training, policies, or announcements.
