If your company has multiple working schedules, you can easily create custom attendance settings for different groups of employees in the system. Follow the steps below to set up a new attendance setting:

Step 1: Navigate to Policies

  1. Hover your cursor over the User Icon in the main menu and click on Settings.

  2. In the Settings section, you will see multiple side tabs. Click on the Policies tab.

  3. You will see the list of existing policies, including the system’s default Standard Policy and any custom policies you've previously created.

  4. Click on the policy where you want to add the new attendance setting.

Step 2: Access Attendance Settings

  1. After selecting the policy, you will land on the About Policy tab by default.

  2. Click on the Attendance tab next to the About Policy tab.

  3. The first attendance setting displayed is the default attendance setting. You will also see any custom attendance settings you have previously added.

  4. Scroll down and click on + Add Custom Attendance Settings.

Step 3: Configure Attendance Settings

  1. A box will appear where you can enter:

    • Setting Title: The name for this new attendance schedule.

    • Setting Description: A short description to explain the schedule details.

  2. Under Set Working Days:

    • You will see Monday to Sunday listed.

    • For each day, you can define the Start Time and End Time for working hours.

    • If a day is an off day (for example, Monday off), click on that day. The color will change from green to gray, indicating that it’s marked as a day off.

  3. Shift Day Multiplier:

Use this if certain working days are half-day schedules.

For example, if Saturday working hours are from 8 AM to 12 PM, and if an employee is absent on that day, they will take half-day leave since it’s a half-day schedule.
However, if the Shift Day Multiplier is set to 1, the system will deduct a half-day rate for that day.
If you don't want the system to deduct a half-day rate (meaning, you want the deduction to match the actual working hours), this setting should be set to 0.5.

  4. After completing the setup, click Confirm and then click Update Policy to save the changes.

Step 4: Assign Attendance Setting to Employees

  1. Go to the Employee tab from the main sidebar.

  2. Find and click on the name of the employee you want to assign this new attendance setting to.

  3. You will land on the employee’s Profile tab. Navigate to the Policy tab.

  4. Under New Attendance Setting Name, click on the field and select the desired attendance setting from the dropdown menu.

  5. Click Update to apply the changes.

Note: You can create multiple attendance settings based on your company’s various work schedules and assign them to individual employees as needed.
