You can configure your company's tax and social security (SSB) calculation rules in the Settings section. Follow the steps below to define whether your organization will calculate income tax, SSB, or both — and how those calculations apply to employee earnings.
Step 1: Enable Tax and SSB Settings
Go to:
Settings > Payroll Tab > Tax Related Items Section
You’ll see a list of tax-related items available by country.
➡️ For Myanmar, you’ll see:
Income Tax
SSB (Social Security Board)
To Enable/Disable:
Click Enable if you want the system to calculate tax/SSB automatically.
Click Disable if your company is not calculating these.
Step 2: Select Allowances and Deductions to Include in Tax and SSB
Once tax and/or SSB are enabled, you need to specify which income items (like basic salary, bonus, allowances, or OT) should be included in the tax/SSB calculation.
Go to:
Settings > Policies > Payroll Tab
Scroll to Base Salary and Allowances, and Deductions section
For each Allowance and Deduction title, you will see:
Affect Income Tax Calculation
One-Time Tax
Affect Social Security Calculation
Examples:
If you calculate tax on Basic Salary, tick ✅ Affect Income Tax Calculation
👉 You don’t need to tick "One-Time Tax" — because Basic Salary is recurring income. If you calculate SSB on salary, tick ✅ Affect Social Security Calculation
👉 SSB is calculated as 2% from the employee and 3% from the employer.
For example, if Basic Salary is 300,000 MMK or above, the employee pays 6,000 MMK toward SSB.For Bonus, Other Allowances, or Other Deductions, you can:
✅ Tick Affect Income Tax Calculation if they’re taxable
✅ Tick One-Time Tax if the income is not monthly/recurring (e.g., year-end bonus)❌ If you're not including these in SSB, simply leave Affect Social Security Calculation unchecked.

To apply tax/SSB rules for projects:
