You can now restrict specific leave types to prevent employees from submitting requests until they have successfully passed their probation period. This ensures compliance with company policies regarding leave entitlements for new hires.

Step 1: Set the Employee Probation End Date

Before the restriction can apply, you must ensure the employee's probation end date is recorded:

  • Go to the Employee tab and click on the Employee Name.

  • Navigate to the Job tab.

  • Enter the Probation End Date and click Update.

Step 2: Access Policy Settings

  • Go to Profile Toggles and select Settings.

  • Click on Policies and select the specific policy you wish to modify.

Step 3: Enable Probation Restrictions

  • Click on the Leave section within the policy.

  • Select the specific Leave Type (e.g., Annual Leave).

  • Scroll down to the eligibility settings.

  • Toggle on/select the option: Do not allow leave requests in the probation period.

  • Click Update Policy to save your changes.

Note: Once enabled, the system will automatically block leave requests for this specific type until the date specified in the employee's "Probation End Date" field has passed.

✅ Success: Employees currently in their probation period will no longer see the option to request these restricted leave types from their side of the system.
