Overview – Project-Based Payment

Project-based payment in Better HR is designed for organizations—especially NGOs and project-based teams—that need to log and review hours worked outside regular schedules for specific projects.

This feature helps HR teams and managers:

  • Monitor employee hours linked to specific projects

  • Review submissions across different time ranges

  • Approve, reject, or track pending requests

  • Gain visibility into overtime and project contributions

How Project-Based Payment Works

Employees submit their project-based working hours through the Better HR mobile app by selecting the project and logging time. Once submitted, managers can review and approve these requests via mobile or web.

In the web system, clicking on “Project-Based Payment & OT” reveals four sub-tabs for reviewing and analyzing submissions:

1. Analytic View

  • Set a custom date range to filter project hour submissions.

  • View key metrics like:

    • Headcount – Number of employees who submitted project hours

    • Request Count – Total number of submissions

    • Total Project Hours – Combined hours for the selected range

  • Visual charts show:

    • Project-based payment trends by day or month.

    • Breakdown by weekday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays.

  • Scroll down to see:

    • Detailed project logs within the selected date range.

    • Breakdown of project hours by hour and by percentage.

2. Card View

  • Displays employee submissions week by week.

  • Color-coded for easy tracking:
    Green – Approved
    Yellow – Pending
    Red – Rejected

3. List View

  • Offers a table-based view of requests by week, month, or year.

  • Useful for quick reviews and data exports.

4. OT Analytic (Legacy)

  • This is the old version of the overtime feature. Most clients no longer use this tab since the newer Project-Based Payment tabs (Analytic, Card View, and List View) offer more comprehensive and user-friendly functionality.

  • However, some existing clients who previously used OT Analytic may continue to use this tab for adding overtime hours and generating reports.
