How to Export Manually Added Attendance Data

Better HR has enhanced attendance reporting by allowing you to export records of manually added or edited attendance directly from the Summarize Report. This Excel report provides a detailed audit trail of all manual adjustments made to employee attendance records.


Step 1: Access the Summarize Report

  • Click on Dashboard from the main navigation menu.

  • Select the Summarize Report tab.

Step 2: Export the Data

  • Locate and click the Download icon (indicated by an up arrow).

  • Select the option Export Manually Added Attendance Data.

  • Open the downloaded Excel file to review the formatted data.

Step 3: Understanding the Report Data

The exported Excel file tracks individual changes made in the Attendance tab for each employee. The report includes the following key information:

  • Employee Name: The staff member whose record was modified.

  • Attendance Date: The specific day for which the check-in or check-out was edited.

  • Attendance Type: Specifies if the change was made to a Check-in or Check-out.

  • Updated Time: The specific clock time that was manually added or edited.

  • Updated Date: The date the manual adjustment was recorded in the system history.

  • Updated By: The name of the person who performed the manual update or edit.


⚠ Permission Requirements

To successfully use this feature, ensure your user role has the following access:

  1. Dashboard Permission: Required to update or edit attendance within the Attendance tab.

  2. Download Permission: Required specifically for the Export Manually Added Attendance Data process.
